Fire at old Ennis national school


Four units of the fire service attended a a blaze at an outbuilding at the old Ennis National School  on the Kilrush Road last night (Thursday). The alarm was raised after 11pm when flames and smoke was seen billowing from the campus.

The fire units remained at the scene for about two hours and one returned around 5.30am as a precautionary measure.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.
