Giving momentum to employment opportunities

Clare jobseekers are being offered free education and training to develop skills and to access employment opportunities through the MOMENTUM programme.

MOMENTUM is an initiative for people who are a year or more unemployed and who are looking for help to get their careers moving.

SOLAS, the Further Education and Training Authority, is administering the programme which aims to provide eligible jobseekers with an opportunity to train for jobs in sectors of the economy that are growing and are in need of skilled employees. Courses also include work placements for participants, in order to ensure that they have an opportunity to showcase their skills and motivation with prospective employers.

The courses are individually designed to encourage motivated people to work together to further their career. The courses are an opportunity to develop key skills and reveal potential in a dynamic environment.
